About the Darling Downs Power Station

The Darling Downs Power Station will be the biggest combined cycle power station in Australia, producing enough power to supply the equivalent of 400,000 Queensland homes. Construction of the power station has commenced, with commissioning to occur in the fourth quarter of 2009 and ramping up to full commercial operation in the first quarter of 2010.

The power station will directly employ up to 25 people once fully operational. Origin is working in partnership with Manpower Professional to commence recruitment for the power station and is now seeking applications for three key leadership roles from people who are motivated by challenge and the opportunity to make a difference.
